Elope at Lake Isabelle, Colorado

To the wonderlust couple, those who delight in the majesty of nature and want wedding photos with a wow-factor - Eloping at Lake Isabelle, Colorado is the spot for you.

K & B didn’t just want their wedding photos to be typical, they wanted to forge extraordinary memories on long-awaited wedding day. They made that happen by having an intimate ceremony on the shore of Brainard Lake before hiking in to Lake Isabelle for their wedding portraits.

Brainard Lake Wedding

Together with their closest friends and family, B+K exchanged vows, expressing their love for each other. The entire lake erupted in cheers & applause as the two were pronounced husband and wife.

It was pure delight to see these two in this moment, surrounded by strangers and friends alike who cheer them on in their new journey. As a Colorado wedding photographer, these are the moments that bring me extra joy - I love how our folks celebrate each other.

Wedding Portraits at Lake Isabelle, Colorado

Lake Isabelle is a 2 mile hike in to the Indian Peaks Wilderness, a stunning National Forest just west of Boulder and south of Estes Park.

The Bride’s bouquet had a pin in honor of her sweet little nephew who passed away shortly after birth. She wanted him to be a part of her day and I think this was such a thoughtful way of honoring him.

These are the photos of a wonder-lust mountain-loving couple. I couldn’t be happier with the experience we all shared together, finding stunning backdrops around every corner and capturing such epic mountain wedding photos. As a Colorado-based Wedding Photographer, I love getting to share places like this with my clients, introducing them to some of my favorite spots across Colorado and no better time to do it than in the summer with all the wild flowers in bloom!

Intimate Wedding Moments

Lake Isabelle Wedding Picnic - we packed in a little picnic set up for these two to enjoy some moments together. Stopping the posing, I asked them to share their favorite memories of each other, when they 'knew' the other was 'the one', and some of their hopes and dreams for the future. Then they popped some bubbly to celebrate!

As we started hiking out, I saw this meadow and had to stop for a few last photos - I am so glad we did! These bridal portraits are some of my new all-time favorites!

- Colorado Mountain Bride -

I absolutely loved helping K & B plan their elopement at Lake Isabelle. Their Colorado Mountain Wedding dreams came true and it was an honor to help make it happen. The Bride and I worked together for nearly a year, planning, scouting, and just bouncing ideas off each other right up until the day happened. I didn’t mind packing in a few extra pounds to make their little picnic extra special by providing the blanket, lanterns and champaign. As a Colorado Wedding Photographer, it is the joy of the job to make little moments extra magical in any way that I can and then candidly capture the couple enjoying them together. To any bride looking for a Colorado mountain wedding or Colorado mountain elopement, I cannot recommend a eloping at Lake Isabelle enough! It has it all, scenic, gorgeous hike all the way with epic backdrops for your Colorado wedding portraits around every bend. 10/10 would recommend!
